Key points :

The investment volume for the French market reached a record of €39.2 billion in 2019. This performance represents  23% year-on-year increase and is 29% higher than the 5-year average and 66% higher than the 10-year average.

These result were particularly linked to the exceptional performance seen for lot sizes over €300 million which achieved a record volume of €13.9 billion or 54% more than in 2018.

With €27.3 billion in investments (+16% year-on-year), office assets remained firmly in the majority (70% of the investment volume).

Foreign investors accounted for 35% of investments in France in 2019, including string activity from Asian investors (mainly Korean) who accounted for 8% of investments.

Prime office yields remained at a low point in the Greater Paris Region (2.75% in the Paris CBD) while the prime yield in Lyon saw further compression over Q4 to 3.50%.
