Around forty transactions recorded over six months
The major transactions market for office space in the Greater Paris Region (>5,000 sq m) saw a continuation of the good activity recorded in 2017 and made a much-improved start to the year with 576,500 sq m of take-up over H1 2018 (+28% year on year). These spaces accounted for 43% of the overall office rental market in the Greater Paris Region over the first six months of the year.
Corporates still favour new developments or those pending construction
Corporates still show a strong preference for new buildings in the Greater Paris Region or buildings pending construction. 72% of the take-up for spaces over 5,000 sq m over H1 2018 was for new/refurbished space (~414,000 sq m).
